The Orange Togetherness Celebrations tour is one of the key initiatives that Orange is embarking on to nurture local music talent,  celebrate Botswana 50th Independence (Bots50) and celebrate Orange Botswana’s 18th anniversary. The nationwide celebrations serve to unite Batswana for the whole year in different locations through one powerful medium, MUSIC.

As Botswana celebrates 50 years of Independence, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to unite and enjoy the success and achievements of the country and the growth of the music industry.

According to Orange Botswana’s Public Relations and Foundation Manager Boga Chilinde-Masebu, music is a universal language that evokes emotion and immense pride in those that connect with the content in each song.

Orange Botswana has put in over P1 million into the success of the countrywide tour which will travel around the country to Tsabong, Kasane, Kanye, Jwaneng, Gaborone, Palapye with the grand finale in December to be held in Tonota.

Giving a background on the OCT, Benah Kgobotwe says that the event came about after a realisation by their team that Batswana were disjointed and divided by different views and ideas especially over which shows to attend or which show to attend based on the genre on offer at the show.
