The player blamed the Ostriches for the botched deal. He said he had no contract with the Orapa side until Baroka made an approach.

“Orapa wanted me to sign a contract and I turned it down. I am not happy with how they (Orapa United) handled my SA move from the onset. There were a lot of things not done right regarding the contracts issue which I did not have with Orapa,” Sesinyi said.

Sesinyi said he met with Orapa United management this week and has parted ways with the team.

He said there are some teams that are in contact with his family, but a decision will only be reached when his agent returns from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where he is representing his former teammate Onkabetse Makgantai at AS Vita.

“We (him and Orapa United) have talked and they have agreed to release me. I have my release letter now and I am ready to move on. There are teams that have been in contact with my father, although I can’t reveal the names. We are still weighing options and waiting for my agent to return from DRC,” he said.

Orapa United spokesperson, Tebatso Hule confirmed the separation.

“We met Sesinyi on Tuesday and we have resolved to amicably part ways with the player. Sesinyi is a rare talent and he has been a crucial member of our team last season, therefore we wish him well in his future endeavours,” he said.

Quizzed on allegations of blocking the player’s move to Baroka, Hule rubbished the claims and said there seem to have been misunderstandings concerning the issue.

“When players move to teams outside the country, we benefit directly or indirectly,” he said. “Sometimes it might not be monetary but we get recognition and we will be happy with that. We also want to see our players develop, hence we have said before that we will always place the interest of our players before that of the team. Our position is not to be seen as blocking our players’ moves. We were not part of the negotiations between Sesinyi and Baroka and we would not know what transpired,” he said.
