Killa scales the hip-hop chats

One such is a 15-year-old local rapper known as Killa who not so long ago released his debut single, Demon and Angels. The single is the title track of the Extended Play (EP) that would be released later this year.
In an interview Killa said the main idea behind the title is to reveal that devils represent the hate and negativity while the angels mean the good vibes.
“Angels vs. demons is me writing about how the good and the bad revolves around people’s lives,” he said. The rapper, real name Sean Seke explained that he gained public recognition after releasing a track called Royal Promises. On the EP he has worked with various upcoming musicians such as Blure X Keiko, Phumzie and Problem Kiid. Going forward, he would like to feature Ban T and Dintle on a song.
The young rapper, who is forging new paths, said his main goal is to reach out to as many people as possible and be an inspiration to the youth.
He draws inspiration from his surrounding. Through that, he decided to pen it down in the form of short stories and poems.
“Since I could write, I went all out to figure out if I could sing as well,” he said. Killa ventured into Hip-Hop and R&B as he can express himself properly through the music genres. His father has been his main supporter and helped him to get his recording equipment.
Even though he is not dominating the airwaves yet, his music is doing well across his digital platforms.
“I am actually proud that I have managed to do that as a fresh upcoming artist,” he said. Rappers such as Killa use the streaming technology to reach their audience. He might as well make an impact.
Many local rappers have paved way and smoothed out any rough edges in the Hip Hop industry, so it is time for the likes of Killa to sail to the top.
