The 54-year-old singer who is famed for his song, Botswana, has been away from the music industry for quite some time after he released his last album Pray Africa in 2004. Giver of Life was released this month.

The album has nine tracks namely, Lentsoe la Hao, Ke leboga Mokgoro, He bought me, Mookamedi, Giver of Life, No Other Rock, Africa my home, Tanki-Botswana, Who can do this and Who can do this Mighty Deed?

Bosa composed all the songs except for Lentsoe la Hao and Mookamedi. Most of his songs have a spiritual effect on the listeners. The album has a mixture of praise and worship songs.

He said even though he have not been very active at live music concerts and even recorded music as evidenced by the big gap in years between his last and the new album, he will change that and become more active in 2016 and going forward.

“My singing gift was evident at Lobatse Hill Primary School where I would sing songs like Humpty Dumpty with gusto.

“I also sung at the Pentecostal Holiness Church Sunday School in Lobatse as part of the Sunday School team that would present special songs during the main church service,” he boasted. Bosa’s singing talent was exposed at Lobatse Secondary School (LSS) where they had strong male singing quarters that also featured the popular Mmereki Marakakgoro. Bosa said after realising that he could sing he composed his first song while at LSS.

“As a singer I have achievements what I am proud of.

“The first one is Botswana, which always receives a lot of airplay on Radio Botswana during national elections and national holidays. “The other hit song is Warrior which is very popular among the Christian community,” he said proudly.

He further said he was honoured when he was invited to sing his song Botswana during the former President Festus Mogae’s inauguration in 1999.

Bosa’s song, Botswana has been dominating the airwaves during elections since 1999 to date.
