Amongst some of the players who are free is former Zebras marksman, Jerome Ramatlhakwana. Ramatlhakwana joined Gaborone United (GU) midway through last season from Orapa United and helped GU reach the final of the Mascom Top 8. Another player currently searching for a new home is Michael Pepukani. He is regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers in the country. Pepukani and Boitumelo Modisaotsile were in a surprise move released by Notwane recently. The duo was instrumental in helping Notwane gain promotion.

Their experience also helped Notwane secure Premier League status. Another player who reportedly left Notwane is exciting attacker, Lesego Lubinda. Lubinda reportedly terminated his contract after Notwane failed to meet some of their obligations. He joined the team last season from Jwaneng Galaxy.

At Township Rollers, striker Joel Mogorosi is expected to sign a new contract following yet another good season. Other players whose contracts come to an end include Segolame Boy and Ofentse Nato who have already extended their stay despite interests from other clubs.

Orapa United have also moved swiftly to renew contracts of key players including Tapiwa Nyamanjiva, Mooketsi Hlabano, Kobamelo Kebaikanye and Kealeboga Molebatsi. Gaborone sides were reportedly looking to sign Kebaikanye who played for Rollers in the past.
