Speaking to Mmegi Sport, Mothusi highlighted that although the report was presented to club members at a meeting held here on Sunday, it was just a draft that still needs to be finalised before sharing its contents with the media.

The meeting’s agenda was to share the report with members, as it was not presented at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in July as it was said to be incomplete, as well as to elect a new executive committee.

“I presented the draft report on behalf of the treasurer who was absent at the meeting and I have since realised that there are some issues within the report that need to be looked into,” he said.

He further promised that the finalised edition would be ready by today (Wednesday).

Meanwhile, Majombolo’s public relations officer (PRO) Mogomotsi Orapeleng said executive committee election went well, with most of the members retained.

“The dissolved committee was still working on the process of club licensing whose deadline is this week and it was important for them to be elected back in order to finish off what they started before the deadline,” said Orapeleng.

He further stated that club licensing requires members of the executive committee to possess educational qualifications that match their positions, noting that the returning members meet the requirement.

Some of the members who retained their positions include chairman Taolo, Orapeleng as PRO and treasurer Kgakgamatso Moreri amongst others. Only three people were elected as new members, being Gaopelo Otsogile as the vice chairman-admin, Esther Ikanyeng-vice secretary, and Samuel Ponatshego as an additional member.

In another development, Orapeleng said the registration process for all their new recruits will be finalised this week, noting that the process to sign contracts has been delayed by the club’s financial crisis.

“For players to sign a contract with the team as per the Botswana Football Association regulations, there has to be some funds paid to them, as a result we have not finished the process as we are currently in a financial crisis,” he said.
