Cultural Exchange Night On The Cards

It is against this backdrop that The Gabs Experience Travel and Tours in collaboration with MozMasaii Travel Agency from Mozambique are going a step further by organising a Cultural Exchange Night, scheduled to take place on June 28, 2019 at Bahama Lounge, in Block 9.

The event will host 80 tourists from Mozambique and it is meant to facilitate cultural exchange between the two nations through music, food, dance, attire to mention only but a few.

Managing director of The Gabs Experience, Nyaladzi Malaki Monyamane said they aim to strengthen friendships between the two countries.

“We want attendees of this event to learn more about each other’s cultures in more exciting and relaxing ways,” Monyamane said.

“On the decks will be two-time award winning Mozambique DJ Dilson, alongside Botswana’s Yarona Fm award winning DJ Ban T,” he said.

Monyamane added that they don’t want this to be a once off event, and are planning for it to take place annually. “….. therefore, incorporating other countries so as they learn more about our culture as Batswana and also for us to learn more about the way of life of different nations thus creating partnerships,” he said.

Monyamane said the Portuguese-speaking groups that reside in Botswana are happy with the upcoming event.
