In an interview with Showbiz, Fairhope said he wants to reach the youth through their current motswako culture and music. He added that singing gospel will make it easy for him to drive the gospel messages while the youth enjoy the rhythm at the same time.

“The message conveyed through my music will overcome a destructive lifestyle of alcohol and substance abuse which nearly ruined my life. I have therefore opted to share my experience with the youth through my music and therefore my peers can relate to my music and have a positive behaviour change,” he said.

He said becoming a Christian had helped him address everyday issues, challenges and pitfalls that the youth face and struggle with. The young energetic and gifted artist considers himself an urban missionary, musician, poet and activist who is on a mission to bring a positive impact on many lives through his music. He said he plans on embarking on high schools and college tours on behavioural change with his music album project.

Fairhope has released a single that has caught a lot of attention from a large audience titled Johane 3:16. In the song, the young artist is repenting and asking for guidance from God. He quotes Johane 3:16 and says he was only a disciple who has come to deliver the Lord’s message and did not have to be convicted through his past deeds.

The song is complemented by beautiful beats that make it easy to like the song and pay attention immediately when you hear it. The single is from an album that Fairhope is currently working on. He intends to release it later this year. He said he intends to offer his album as an online free download project to make it accessible to all the youth across the country. However, the young man explained that physical copies of his album will be sold for sustainability measures.

“I was able to release this album with the recognition, support and partnership I got from the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture under the Arts and Culture Department. The public has received my single Johane 3:16 with open arms. It also got a positive response from various radio stations where it has been played,” he said confidently.

The former Botswana Accountancy College student started writing music and poetry at a young age and began singing gospel hip hop or motswako music in 2011/2012 after becoming a Christian. He is passionate about music and enjoys socialising and getting to know more about people and their cultures. He said he aims to be a voice of impact and change on the youth through his music.

Fairhope performed at various platforms such as Moshupa Juvenile Prison where he was inspiring the juveniles through his music and mentored them through a six months Alpha course programme for change.

He performed in many secondary schools, tertiary schools and at Consumer Fair. He has also partnered with the Anti Tobacco organisation where he performed at their awareness campaigns against drug and substance abuse.
