Zimbabwe's Warriors were the first team to go down, losing 1-0 to hosts Egypt on the opening day of the tournament on Friday.

Madagascar became the first COSAFA member to register a point with a valiant display in a 2-2 draw against Guinea on Saturday.

The Brave Warriors of Namibia were close to earning a big point against one of the tournament's favourites, Morocco, but conceded a late own goal in a 1-0 defeat on Saturday night.

Angola managed to come from a goal down, to force a 1-1 draw against Tunisia on Monday, but South Africa's Bafana Bafana slumped to a 1-0 loss to Ivory Coast later on the same day, meaning after the first round of matches, no southern African nation has registered a victory.

Tonight, defending champions, Cameroon play Guinea-Bissau, while Ghana and Benin get their campaign underway with the late night kick-off.

The second round of matches begin tomorrow, with Zimbabwe looking to put behind their opening day defeat to Egypt, when they face group leaders, Uganda, who trounced DR Congo 2-0 on Saturday.

The hosts play DRC, with a win seeing Egypt through while The Leopards will be eliminated with a defeat.
