Speaking at a press conference in Gaborone today, Rollers president, Jagdish Shah said the club had engaged Trucha, previously with Orapa United, on a one-year deal.

Zacharia Muzadzi returns to the club as assistant coach.

Trucha said his immediate target would be to win the league, Mascom Top 8 as well as progress to the group stages of the CAF Champions League.

'I am happy to be back in Botswana, and my aim is to win the league, Top 8 and FA Cup.  This is not to say that I do not respect our opponents,' the Czech said.

Muzadzi said his aim was to particularly win the Mascom Top 8, which eluded him during his previous stint as assistant to Madinda Ndlovu.

Shah said the target would be to make the group stages of the Champions League.

'The challenge is to go through to the group stages.  I want to give you that as a challenge,' Shah told Trucha and Muzadzi.

Shah also announced the departure of several players, including Oscar Ncenga, Tshepo Motlhabankwe, Ntesang Simanyana and Ivan Ntenge.

Kitso Mpuisang joins the club from Prisons XI while Ivan Mbowa has been added from Uganda.

But talks with striker, Joel Mogorosi have not borne any fruit, with Shah saying the player had not returned to the negotiating table after the club put forward its offer.

Mogorosi, the club’s leading scorer with 17 goals last season, is linked with a move away from Popa, with Security Systems touted as his next destination.

Shah said the club was chasing three more players, as they look to launch an onslaught on all fronts.

Meanwhile, Rollers will play Chiefs on July 20, 2019 in Botswana at a venue to be named.

Kaizer Chiefs officials were present during the pre-conference and promised to bring a strong team, including new signings, to play Rollers.
