In a quest to provide seamless healthcare services to its stakeholders, Botsogo launched a digital platform that offers real-time, instant claims processing providing ease of administration as it moves to a paperless environment.

The company’s digital platform is further supported by a mobile application that gives clients control of their medical aid services and needs.

The new innovation will also allow service providers such as pharmacists and doctors self-service functionality with improved management and monitoring at low operational costs.

Though the Botsogo Health Plan launched its digital platform, the mobile app will be available for download in August and will support Android via Google Play and Apple via Apple store and patrons will follow up claims, check balances, upgrade subscriptions, find health facilities that can quickly assist them in cases of emergency and also make payments in real-time at any given place.

Commenting during the launch, the general manager of Metropolitan Health, Lesego Pule noted that the Botsogo Health Plan is an innovative medical aid scheme with a vision to provide affordable health care for Batswana.

In recognition of the fact that many people would like to subscribe to a medical aid, but are hindered by their busy schedules, he stated that the new innovation will allow those interested to join without having to come to their offices.

Subscribers will be able to provide their families with essential health cover while also saving time.

“If a client has no money but needs medical assistance, they will be assisted without having to pay a thebe.”

Botsogo considers itself to be an international world-class company and providing an uninterrupted service for its clients has been of paramount importance since inception in 2005.

“Botsogo is the first amongst the local medical aid companies to launch such an innovation which is paperless,” Pule said.
