Boko vowed that Pilane and his Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) will never be accepted back into the coalition.

He was speaking at a UDC Gaborone Bonnington South candidate Ketlhalefile Motshegwa’s launch.

Besides reiterating that his party would create 100,000 jobs, increase student allowance to P2, 500, old age pension to P1, 500 and raise the minimum wage to P3, 000, Boko spent a fair share of his time attacking Pilane over legal proceedings instituted by the BMD.

With the case in which the BMD is challenging their expulsion from the UDC slated for August 27, the party has moved to file an interlocutory application seeking to block UDC from contesting elections.

The respondents in the case are the Chief Justice, Independent Electoral Commission and UDC.

The BMD was expelled from the UDC for ‘total disregard and disrespect’ for the leadership of the UDC as well as its structures and processes.

The BMD recently started intensifying its solo campaign while presenting itself as ‘BMD of the UDC’ before voters.

The party has now changed gear and has moved to have the court interdict its ‘partners’ from contesting elections under the UDC.

“While we are still waiting to go to court with them in August, they have now moved to file a stupid case, which will be heard in October. They have given up on the case they had filed before. I looked at the court papers and I can tell you that it is a joke. Does he even know the law? Or he has reached senility? Senility means you are about to lose your mind,” Boko said.

Boko added when looking at the matter with other lawyers they decided to engage attorneys from South Africa.

“We have engaged advocates Chris McConnachie and Gilbert Marcus SC together with Advocate Jason Mitchell and Tembeka Ngcukaitobi SC to come help us deal with this idiot. The issue is such a small matter that I might not even attend court and continue launching candidates across the country,” he said.

“The BMD is, in its typical fashion, clutching at straws. They have no right whatsoever in relation to the UDC. They have been expelled and they remain expelled. Our attorneys and counsel will demonstrate these simple truths to them in court soon. We relish the opportunity to put this matter to rest once and for all.”

Boko said they will never accept the shell that is BMD back and that if by any means they return, they will expel them once again.

Boko attacked Pilane calling him a thokolosi. “Le ene yo o bonang re mmitsa thokolosi ha re tenegile yo, ga se gore re mo tlhoile. Re tenwa ke mekgwa ya gagwe le bothinthinyane le bogogorwane ja gagwe. Garena letlhoo mo go Pilane. Re tenwa ke bothinthinyane jo le go rongwa boloi. Re tenwa ke gone mo. Ene hela ele motho ga re a mo tlhowa gothelele,” Boko said.
