Delegates are expected to debate Kgalagadi South’s motion which seeks to have office bearers in office for four years instead of two.

The other motion from the Nhabe region wants the independent election of the Botswana Premier League committee as opposed to the present set-up where chairpersons of clubs make it to the board.

“Several submissions were made, some of them not adequately considered at the appropriate structure, some were referred to the Constitution and Legal Committee (formally Statutes Committee) for they were related to Play Rules and Regulations, and some considered and rejected by the NEC as motions,” noted BFA chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng. The expulsion of Notwane is on the agenda where delegates are expected to deliberate if the decision should stand or not.

BFA president, Tebogo Sebego will give his activity report while the meeting will also be presented with the financial statements.

On the agenda is the voting on proposals for amendments to the constitution and elections, among others.
