No Arrests In Malatswai Murder

 

The deceased, who hailed from Mabolwe ward at the village, was found lying dead and naked by the roadside that fateful early morning. She was laid to rest at her home village last Saturday.

In an interview, Serowe police station commander, superintendent Molefe ‘Patrick’ Molefe said no suspect(s) have been arrested yet in relation to the incident.

However, investigations into the matter were ongoing.

Molefe stated that the police were working tirelessly to resolve the matter. He stated that investigations were yet to establish the suspect(s) behind the horrific act. “We are currently holding about 12 people carrying out interviews in an effort to establish what really transpired and possibly arrest the suspect(s),” said Molefe.

“There is currently nothing positive, but I am hopeful that after completing the interviews we will have a lead.”

A passerby who reported the incident to the police discovered the deceased lying by the roadside.

The victim was then taken to Sekgoma hospital in Serowe where she was certified dead by the doctors upon arrival.

The woman was found near naked, with her clothes by her side. She was only wearing her underwear.

Even though the deceased did not sustain visible injuries, the police suspect she was murdered.

The police are currently awaiting doctors’ report, which hopefully would reveal the cause of death.
