The school from the central district won two of the four trophies on offer last year, and repeated the feat on Sunday, as they narrowly lost on a hat trick of titles.

The Under-17 girls final produced a shocker as Batanani caught Radisele off guard in the first half to steal two goals, which eventually decided the encounter.

Batanani had to hold off wave after wave of attack from Radisele, who virtually camped in their opponents half in the second stanza. However, crucially for Batanani, the ball stayed out of the net in a combination of resolute defending and some inept finishing.

In the Under-17 boys final, a beautiful goal in the opening minutes settled an absorbing encounter, which saw Ntebogang beat Mmaphula 1-0.

Ntebogang were patient, using their wings with pace, while Mmaphula pressed up high, but failed to get a goal.

Radisele’s Under-15 boys did not take long to restore ‘order’ after they edged Morama 1-0 for the school’s first title of the day.

The school proved why it IS a Centre of Excellence for football after the girls’ Under-15 side were ruthless in a 11-1 demolition of Batanani, in an embarrassingly one sided contest.

After the conclusion of the tournament, the national side will be selected to represent Botswana at the Copa Coca Cola nations cup, at a venue and date to be announced.
