While the comedy show assembled foreign comics like Collen ‘Salesman’ Chepi and Mashabela Galane who are both from South Africa, the fantastic selection of comedians managed to entice their fans and make the night a hilarious one.

The show was divided into two sessions and local comics amongst them  Katlo ‘Klo’ Lekgowe from Kopong, Boniface ‘Roy’ Tatolo and Moshi Rasegojwa from Tonota wowed the audience. Well-known standup comedian, Bafana ‘Ribcracker’ Letsatsi was the host of the first session. In one of his jokes, he said following All Kasi’s success everyone now wants to put kasi in their brand. “In Moiyabana, they now have a brand called Mzilikasi,” he joked. Ribcracker said AIDS is so prevalent in Botswana so much that even when one searches for AIDS on Google, Botswana  comes out.

Onalenna ‘Zozo’ Mosweu from Dikhukhung also came on stage and people started laughing before he could even utter a single word. Zozo told the audience he started as a security officer and how life was difficult for him. A blind comic from Maitengwe, Thapelo Malani was then brought on stage and immediately started making jokes about his disability. “Being blind is a challenge, people like Screamer can’t see Zebras’ away kit,” he joked. He said foreigners especially Zimbabweans have a tendency of taking chances when it comes to Setswana language.

Malani said one man once said, “Ke ratile go bolawa ke morobalo” which literally says after sleeping for a longer period of time.

Clive Chigubu from Zimbabwe hosted the second session. The session was full of foreign acts including Tapiwa ‘Taap the Guy’ Makaza from Namibia. Local female comedian Rekunde from Maun also came on stage to seal what were top-notch performances from the local acts.
