Murirwa was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.  Motiki’s other three teammates sustained injuries. The players were on their way to training. Motiki joined his teammates during training this week.

“He has been given the go-ahead by medical doctors to start training. He started training on Monday and he looked good.  We will continue assessing him. We will not rush him into action,” Flamingoes coach Rapelang Tsatsilebe said.

Motiki sustained serious injuries on his head and chest. He spent sometime at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital and was at one point admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

At the time, there were fears that the striker will never play football again. In a previous interview, he expressed desire to return to action. Motiki is still contracted to Flamingoes until the end of next season.

Meanwhile, Tsatsilebe resumed full duties as Flamingoes coach over a week ago. This ended much speculation surrounding his future. He had been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs.
