Electra Mining slated for September

It is held in partnership with the recently launched A-OSH Expo Botswana.

Now on its fourth edition, the three-day conference will take place at Gaborone Fairgrounds from September 10-12.

It will be an all-encompassing event showcasing the latest technologies as well as all items associated with occupational health and safety.

With an aim of embracing mining, industrial and power generation, Electra mining Botswana will showcase the latest machinery, products, technologies and services across important sectors.

As a forum for trading, networking, learning and product sourcing, the co-located event will provide an excellent opportunity for local and international exhibitors, industry associations, government officials and industry professionals to connect over three days in one venue.

Speaking at the launch this week, Gorata Manyaapelo, managing director of TRM group, said mining plays a pivotal role in the economy.

She emphasised that capital expenditure on mines helps boost business in other sectors such as construction, financial services and transport, which makes the Electra mining, not just a mining show.

“TRM group has proved to be pioneers and leaders in occupational health and safety, always at the helm of groundbreaking initiatives for the safety, health and environment movement of Botswana,” said Manyaapelo.

“This event is a great platform to showcase the industry and latest trends in the sector.”

The open expo would showcase new products and live demonstrations, thus allow people to attend seminars that take place alongside the events.

The seminar is expected to provide a learning opportunity for exhibitors and visitors at the show.

Speakers will be addressing a variety of topics pertinent to both industries and will add value with their knowledge and expertise.

Focussing on the empowerment and the important of forestering women’s participation in industry, a segment of the seminar series will be aimed at equipping women with the practical knowledge needed to aid their work within the respective industries.

With its local and international participants and leading brands on show, Electra Mining Botswana and A-OSH Botswana Expo will be of benefit to exhibitors who want to expand their footprint in Botswana.

It will also be resourceful to visitors who want to source the latest products and services and to learn about new technologies and solutions.
