The event featured some of Botswana’s most talented women in comedy including the likes of Rekunde, Lebo English and Mamito. Few international acts from Zambia, Zimbabwe and Swaziland also graced the event.

Lebo English became the first act of the night and was ushered in by the master of ceremony, Mdala Ka Tjeludo famous for uttering the words ‘Ditoretore Tse Di Serious’.

On the first act, reception from the audience was a bit chilly given that the seats were not yet fully occupied, and the mood was still on a low.  As she continued to crack up her jokes, some of that cold started to wear off. Lebo English was followed by a comedian from Swaziland who mentioned it was her first international act and made sure she delivered what the people paid their money for.

Even though Mdala Ka Tjeludo was the master of ceremony, he made sure he did what he knows best.  From the beginning of the show he was constant about different experiences people encounter in the toilet while doing ‘number 2’.  “Worst case scenario happens where you just finished your number and there is that stubborn one that will not just flush, what do you do in that case,” said Mdala Ka Tjeludo, who had everyone laughing their lungs out.

As the acts continued to rock the stage one by one, seats were filling up to an extent that others were forced to remain on their feet, as the seats had ran out.
