Rollers drew 1-1 to Young Africans courtesy of new signing, Phenyo Serameng’s first half goal on Saturday.

Serameng’s goal came as early as the seventh minute with cool finish following a brilliant move. Moments later, Young Africans were awarded a penalty but Rollers goalkeeper, Wagarre Dikago spectacularly parried it away for a corner.

From the corner kick, Dikago once again made a brilliant save to deny Young Africans an equaliser. Rollers nearly got their second goal towards the end of the first half but Young Africans managed to make a clearance.

Young Africans equalised towards the end of the game through a penalty. Patrick Sibomana this time managed to beat Dikago giving Young Africans the much-needed goal. Rollers are now expected to use home ground advantage in the second leg.

The two sides met again in the preliminary stages two years ago and Rollers knocked the East African side out before Rollers reached the group stages for the first time. Meanwhile Jwaneng Galaxy will have a mountain to climb after losing 3-1 to Bolton City in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup.
