The two will go head to head at the famous BotswanaCraft stage at yet another Mascom Live session event, which organisers revealed would be held on August 26.

Born Amantle Ntshole, she first burst into musical charts with her hit song, Moratiwa. She is also the current best RnB singer award winner with the Botswana Musician Union (BOMU) as well as best new comer.  Her debut album also bagged her a nomination at last year’s AFRIMMA awards.

Amantle Brown has just one album under her belt titled “Sa pelo” which she released last year September. Her debut album has eight tracks including singles, Mahitswana, Ke a Lema, Banana and Tribute. The songs are in different genres such as soul, jazz and RnB. The Moratiwa songtress fame dates as far back as talent search show My Star, where the 22-year-old was first introduced to the world musically.

However the real test of whether Amantle Brown can “hold it down” will come during the Mascom Live sessions. She will be up against the Sondela singer whose Mascom Live session show was sold out. The last Mascom Live session also saw another local talent, Gaona stealing the thunder from the main act, Freshlyground.

It remains to be seen if Amantle Brown will repeat the same. “I believe in my sound, I believe that I will be able to touch those in attendance and hopefully leave my mark. But most of all I just hope my vocal range will be on point.”

“We have been rehearsing tirelessly. I am really nervous as this will be my first real challenge,” said Amantle Brown. She further confirmed that she would be playing using a live 5-piece band on the day.
