In an interview with Showbiz, the choir coordinator pastor Thuso Tiego said the choir has been laying low for almost five years now. He said at their last concert in 2011 they had live performance where they also had a recording and video shooting. He said their fans had been pleading with them to come back and spread the gospel through their splendid melodies.

“We have had countless calls from our fans since our performance with Omega gospel choir earlier this year. That gave us a wake up call as we realised that we have been away for quite sometime. Beatitudes choir is back and we promise Batswana that we will give them an experience of a lifetime,” he said.

He said just like in 2011, they would be a live recording and video shooting. Tiego also highlighted that the choir has produced BOMU award winning gospel artists such as Allan K and Tefo Phiri. He said Lyon, who is believed to be one of the best gospel artists in the country, was also from the same choir and has released a solo album.

This interdenominational choir has attracted 30 young talented choir members made up of vocalists and instrument players. In 2011 it released an album titled Beatitudes. The event will start at 7pm and the first 20 audiences will be given free Beatitudes choir t-shirts. Entrance fee is P100 and tickets are available at Maitisong. Tiego called on the audience to come early and in large numbers so that they would not miss out on a chance to be on their videos.
