Two more conspiracy suspects appear in court

The two join a 30-year-old Motswana woman, Lebogang Mhotsha of Mogoditshane, who appeared before court on Friday on the same charge.  This follows a highjacking incident in South Africa in which two Batswana men were killed on July 26, 2019 while on their way to Durban to buy vehicles.

A statement from the police says, “The Botswana Police Service (BPS) and the South African Police Service (SAPS) have since jointly launched investigations into the circumstances that led to the incident”.

It continues to state, “Preliminary investigations have revealed that the robbery was an act of conspiracy between the three suspects and their South African associates”. The suspects are set to appear for mention on August 22.
