This time around the event features South African Kwaito musician, Thebe Mogane, otherwise known just as Thebe in the music industry.

The session, dubbed ‘The Jive Edition’ is set to thrill revellers, with DJs Robbie Rob, Mr O and Boogie Sid completing the line-up.

The line-up provides a diversion from the usual live band performances, which the Mascom Live Sessions and BotswanaCraft Marketing are known for. According to the organisers of the show, the latetst edition is just about enjoyment and fun.

BotswanaCraft Marketing Managing Director, Oliver Groth stated that with this edition, they opted for something different, thanks to the understanding from their long standing partner, Mascom.  “The Jive edition is all about having a good time, dancing and having fun. We are trying something different thanks to Mascom for being open to switch things around,” explained Groth. The Mascom Live Sessions are known for pulling capacity crowds, with almost all their recent editions sold out. However, it could be different this term as there will not be live band performances this time around. However, Groth has explained that this edition is not about the numbers but a time for those who want to have a good time.

“It’s not about the numbers but it’s about those who do come to have a good time. It’s going to be a good session for all to enjoy,” he added.

It’s been a while since the veteran musician Thebe last rocked the charts and had fans dancing to dope kwaito tunes, but the star reminded fans of his oldies when he featured on DJ Sumbody’s hit song Monate Mpolaye alongside Cassper Nyovest and Vettis.

Tickets for the show sell at P240 while those who purchase through MyZaka visa card will get them discounted at P200.
