Debswana MD, Albert Milton passes away

Milton became unwell while in Johannesburg yesterday and was admitted to hospital where he passed on earlier this morning.

He had been appointed as Managing Director for Debswana in December 2018, having joined Debswana in 1992 and holding various positions across the company’s mining operations and in leadership positions.

Milton was appointed General Manager of Jwaneng Mine in 2013 and held posts as Project Manager at Venetia Mine and as General Manager at Morupule Coal Mine from 2008 to 2013.

Lynette Armstrong, Chief Financial Officer, Debswana has been appointed Acting Managing Director until further notice.
