The P476,080 deal will run from October 1 until September 30, 2023. The deal that was secured through the Indian High Commission in Botswana will benefit BTTA with sporting equipment that includes, surrounds, scoreboards, umpire tables and match and training balls.

Speaking at the sponsorship unveiling on Tuesday morning, BTTA president Kudzanani Motswagole said the deal provides a beacon of hope for the sport in attempts to be at par with their international counterparts.

'This sponsorship is a breath of fresh air to BTTA. In my opinion, this is a break through for our sport.  It is a result of hard work and commitment from the executive committee,' he said.

Indian High Commission secretary of commercial affairs, Satender Yadav said sport could be an imperative tool in human development, thus needs the necessary support.

'Sport is an all rounder tool for the development of a young mind. At the High Commission we were impressed by the persistence of the executive committee hence we invited them to India to secure the deal. This deal will help Botswana players with necessary equipment to help them compete in the local and international competitions,' he said.

Meanwhile, the BTTA's Road to Finale continues over the weekend at St. Joseph’s College with the fifth round of the series.
