New Zebras coach arrives

Mogomotsi ‘Teenage’ Mpote has been holding forte since the dismissal of David Bright in February.

The new coach, believed to be Belgian, Adel Amrouche is expected to be on the bench when the Zebras take on Malawi in a World Cup qualifier next month.

BFA chief executive officer, Mfolo Mfolo, without mentioning a name, said the coach is expected to arrive this weekend.

Amrouche has been heavily linked with the post, and on Monday, all but confirmed his appointment on his Twitter account.

He said he had accepted a national team appointment, ruling out a return to Kenya, where he was once in charge of the Harambee Stars.

Meanwhile, Mogomotsi Mpote is expected to take charge of the Under-23 side, with Pio Paul making a return to the national team set-up with the Under-20. Tebogo Mokute will be handed the Under-17 role.
