Packaged in Botswana, Le Afrika has brought raw African Black Soap (with Shea Butter) and unrefined Shea Butter to consumers of organic products.

Founder Lisa Kasale explained that Le Afrika is a local family-owned company that manufactures both products.

She said in the course of time, they would like to manufacture more products with black soap and shea butter being their primary products.

“We grew up inspired by green living. My mother used to bring us natural oils, scrubs, perfumes and other cosmetic products from all over the world. We grew up on a farm so she would plant organic plants such as vegetables and fruits. We ate fresh, home-grown and organic foods. The world has gone green.

We were inspired to get these particular products because their health benefits are enormous,” she said. She explained that they import their products from northern Ghana. She explained that they come raw saying that their processing and the production includes using a double boiler so that their nutrients are retained. She said they steam and boil the butter at a certain temperature.

She explained that to make quality products, they carefully go through the whole processing of the products.  These products are said to possess amazing skin benefits for all skin types and ages.

She added that it was important for people to use products that are nourishing and are essentially needed by the skin saying that in the country, skin is affected by various harsh weather conditions such as rainfall.

Kasale added that many people across the world are doing away with cosmetics that possess chemicals.

“Le Afrika’s black soap and shea butter work wonders. The soap gently deep-cleanses with a rich lather unclogging pores and lifting dead skin.

The butter moisturises, restores and rejuvenates the skin to its natural original texture for a smooth, supple and healthy glow,” she said.

These products are cleared and approved by the Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authorities (BOMRA).  Kasale vowed that they would continue offering their customers with premium Grade A pure and natural products with ethically and sustainably sourced 100% natural products.

Le Afrika recently scooped their first golden award at the just-ended Botswana Consumer Fair where they won local manufacturers award under beauty products. Since their establishment a few months ago, the company has gotten positive feedback from their customers in different parts of the country.

They have partnered with KTU Express in Botswana who courier their products for free depending on the minimum orders across the whole country and Southern Africa.  They have also partnered with Fashion Without Borders SA where she would get an opportunity to market her products.
