He told Arts & Culture in an interview that the show is meant to bring the youth together to enjoy the evening and appreciation music.

“We will not only be showcasing our music. But we will also be showing the youth that there are other ways of battling unemployment rather than waiting for the government to do something. We appreciate the government’s efforts. But as Batswana youth we need to go an extra mile to show that we are serious about our craft,” he explained.

This is not the first time the young artist hosts a similar show. He said at his first show he was able to attract between 250 and 300 people, which satisfied him. The young artiste plays pop music.

But in most cases he tries to fuse in Afro Jazz so that he may be able to reach a wider target. Jordan MoOzy also said his show targets young people aged between 16 and 30-years-old who have shown appreciation for his music.

He promised his fans nothing but an enjoyable evening. Jordan MoOzy revealed that he would not only be playing songs from his album.  He will also treat his fans to new material. Jordan MoOzy will be supported by a live band. He added that his album that was recorded live last year was currently available at Botswanacraft Marketing.

Jordan MoOzy added that the show would be splendid because he managed to come up with a unique sound. He composes music looking at different aspects of his life. His authentic music is birthed from his personal life experiences. He started his career in the music industry in 2016.  “As my journey continued, I met Tefo Paya who is the director of Maitisong.

We have been working on a number of projects together such as the Maitisong festival, Madi Majwana and Mascom President’s Concerts. I have a handful of sponsors that assist whenever I want to host my shows such as Botswanacraft Marketing, Active Africa, Traders Bay, Creative Culture as well as Mega Graphics,” he said.

Playing alongside Jordan MoOZy will be Botswana Youth Choir, Maru-a-Pula Marimba Band and Frostbite. Tickets are sold for P100 at Botswanacraft and his albums are sold at P120 per copy. The event will start at 7pm till late.
