Ndlovu has been in hospital for more than two weeks after he collapsed during a training session. He was initially admitted to the GPH’s intensive care unit, but has since been moved to the general ward as his condition has improved.

Club director, Nicholas Zakhem said Ndlovu was recuperating, but it might be a long process.

“He is recovering and there is no danger to his life. It is a slow process, so it might take him a bit of time,” he told Mmegi Sport.

The club then confirmed on its Facebook page yesterday, that Kavazovic had been engaged until the end of the season, and that Ndlovu had been made aware of the decision. “We have taken into consideration the health of Madinda Ndlovu, hence the appointment of Nikola.

The boss (Nicholas Zakhem) has engaged Madinda before the appointment,” the club’s general manager, Thapelo Mothusi said. Ndlovu missed two of the last three GU league games.  Assistant coach, Stephen Maposa has been in charge on an interim basis. Kavazovic was in attendance during GU and BDF XI’s midweek match at the Molepolole Sports Complex.

Kavazovic is a cult hero at Rollers after leading the team to the group stages of the CAF Champions League, to go with a league and cup double. The record makes him one of the most successful tacticians in the country.   He quit Popa for a lucrative job at Kenyan giants, AFC Leopards, while he also had a stint with Free State Stars in South Africa.

There were reports he could return to Rollers, but the team appointed Tomas Trucha.

Moyagoleele has won once this season with Ndlovu in charge and drawn the last two games under Maposa. The team sits fifth on the log with five points, four behind leaders Security Systems.
