Pointless Notwane vow to turnaround fortunes

The team started the season with a deficit of six points after it was sanctioned over Club Licencing violations.
The task to survive has gotten harder after the team lost its five fixtures of the new campaign. This leaves Toronto rooted at the bottom of the log with minus six points. Even if they were to win their next two matches, Sechaba would be without a point.
The club has also been battling with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) over the employment of its Zimbabwean coach, Gilbert Mushangazhike, who does not hold the requisite CAF Licence to coach a Premier League side.
But despite the odds, Notwane public relations officer, Mogomotsi ‘Ace’ Orapeleng is confident the storm would be over soon.
“We have a new team and a new coach, slowly our team is taking shape. We are failing in the last stanza; that is to convert. If you don’t convert just one chance, you get punished.
“We remain optimistic. It is a marathon and we will soldier on until the end of time. Our supporters should remain calm. We will turn things around,” Orapeleng said.
Sechaba fans would be jittery, as memories of a long campaign in the dusty First Division grounds, are still fresh.
Notwane returned two seasons ago, after languishing in the unforgiving second tier for three seasons.
Meanwhile, Security Systems pulled further away from the chasing pack after a midweek victory over Gilport Lions.
Systems have been this season’s surprise package after battling relegation in the previous campaign.
Coach, Daniel ‘Chico’ Nare has ruled out any title charge at this moment, but his team is bagging points while the traditional contenders sputter.
Blessing Moyo’s BR Highlanders has had a good start and were third before yesterday’s matches.
