Tuks Senganga comes to town

Hip Hop and RnB Live Sessions is a weekly event that takes place at Chez Nicholas hosted by rapper, Scar whereby local Hip Hop and RnB artists perform with a live band. The event is the brainchild of Loapi Events.
“This is our first main event of the weekly performances that we have been hosting since December last year. So we decided to celebrate our first main event by inviting Tuks, who is a friend to Botswana Hip Hop,” said Aotlhe ‘Trauma’ Boiteto. This will be Tuks’s first performance in Gaborone after a very long time, as he has not released any new material. He is expected to perform his latest track Kontle and classics such as Bona Fela and 525,600 Minutes.
The South African rapper will be backed by local acts such as Sasa Klaas, Ozi F Teddy, Melo, Scar and Trauma. Epiphonik Live Band will support them. Trauma said that for the main event they have increased the capacity of Chez Nicholas, as they will create space that will also occupy the Liban Mediterranean Cuisine and Jessy Bistro areas.
Apart from performing on the main event the Motswako lyricist who is expected in the country today will facilitate a writers’ workshop at Bona Naledi in the afternoon.
“We have also organised that he facilitates a writers workshop for underprivileged Tswana writers, with the hope that they will learn from him,” Trauma said.
During his stay the Bona Fela rapper will get into the studio with local veteran rapper Scar where they will record a track together.
Revellers will be allocated sections according to their tickets, which range from VIP, platinum, diamond, and gold. The ticket prices range from P500 to P100.
