The team is winless in the three games with a 3-1 home defeat to Red Sparks, the latest. Dinaletsana have been based in Gaborone for the past four years while they played their home games in Gantsi and Ncojane. The team has now opted for Sharps and SSG grounds as their new homes for the current season.

The club’s chairperson, Onneile Segwai said the move will help keep the club afloat financially as they try to turn their fortunes around.

“We have moved because of lack of (financial) support. As you are aware, football has high expenses. We need at least P120,000 per season to run the club,” he said.

“So this (move) will help us reduce costs. We have a (league) status to protect, therefore there are a lot of issues to consider for one to have a competitive team; issues like players accommodation, travelling and even the performance on the pitch.”

Segwai fears the club would lose its traditional home support, but said avoiding relegation was the club’s primary target.

“Fans will understand that we have a status to protect and we are not the first to move our home games, teams do that from time to time advised by materials on the ground,” he said.

“Travelling and accommodation expenses will no longer be as extreme as it has been, hence the little the team will make here will help in the everyday running of the club.”

Segwai did not rule out that the team would move back to the village once they recover.

Young Stars will look to cash in over the weekend when they host Mochudi Centre Chiefs at the SSG grounds. Magosi have been making an average of P40,000 per game this season, the highest in the league.

In other matches, winless Mochudi Rovers will host Mogoditshane Fighters at the Rovers grounds while Broadhurst United visit Masitaoka at Motswasele grounds.

Former elite league sides, Black Forest and Uniao Flamingo Santos will battle for three points at the Forest grounds while Matebejana host Red Sparks at the Mogoditshane Fighters grounds.

Holy Ghost will look for their second straight win against struggling Jwaneng Fighters at the Ghost Park. All games will be played tomorrow and kick off is at 3.45pm.
