Ncenga joined Flamingoes from Township Rollers in the off-season after enjoying more than a decade of a trophy-laden career at Popa.

It was expected that he would play a leading role to help Flamingoes achieve its target of gaining promotion to the elite league.

The former Zebras defender has, however, struggled for game time only featuring once in three league matches.  The towering defender was a notable absentee on Saturday when Flamingoes were held to a goalless draw against Great North Tigers (GNT) in a Debswana First Division (FDN) league tie. “Ncenga is not injured. We are still working on his fitness.

You will have to realise that he did not play that much at Township Rollers last season. This to some extent has affected his fitness level,” Tsatsilebe said.

“We are gradually introducing him into the team. I am confident that as the season progresses he will start playing regularly. We will absolutely need his experience during the peak of the season.”

Meanwhile, Tsatsilebe who has been told to take Flamingoes to the Premier League, said he wants an unbeaten run in the league.

“Our aim is to win or draw all away matches. We also want to win all our home matches.

I believe this strategy can help us win the league. This league is usually won by around 50 points.

If we avoid defeat away and win all our home matches we can accumulate the number of points and ultimately gain automatic promotion to the Premier League. I have youthful but good players who can help me achieve my mandate,” Tsatsilebe said.

In three matches, Flamingoes have drawn two away and won one at home. They are fourth on the table, two points behind leaders Santa Green.
