The Envelope album was supposed to be released in December last year, but the rapper went silent without any official statement as to why he did not fulfill his promises. However, recently he announced on his social network accounts that the album will now be released on September 28.

The Fading effects rapper explained to Showbiz why he had to postpone his album launch to a later date and making his fans wait for a long time. “Remember I was arrested in 2014 for kidnapping and abduction related issues. This put me through an expensive process as I had to pay my legal team a lot of money,” said ATI as he explained that he faced a financial downfall that led him not to be able to release his finished album.

He openly admitted that the court case played a negative role in the finances that were meant to fund the release and the publishing of the album. “I am an independent and self-funded artist, I depend on myself,” he said.

This also had an impact on his musical event World War Three that was scheduled for December last year then March this year. However he said the event will take place this year.  “ATI is a reflection of everyone; life has its own turns despite having planned and calculated every move”. He stated that prior to the release of the album he will release a single as a build up to the release of his album.

He described Envelope as a musically creative album that contains artistic music that was produced using live instrument including the Segaba.

“Currently the music industry is not entertaining. People are mimicking South Africans who are mimicking Americans that are stealing African creativity. People are following trends. Luckily there is ATI. The industry will be exciting again,” he boasted.

While his fans are still waiting for his sophomore album he has been entertaining them with cover tracks derived from different artists such as Han C, Foxy Brown and Adele.
