Musicians such as Johnny Mokhali, MMP Family and DJ Sly will headline the event.

The organiser, Neo Ntlole said the main aim of the event is to actively promote local art and culture by hosting events big and small throughout the region as well as offering food.

Ntlole added that even though the aim is to improve arts and culture, this time around they decided to expand their brand.

“We wanted to cater for the mature crowd and diversify our lineup,” she said.

Ntlole said as a women-owned concept, they started by selling traditional food in May 2019 and the menu on offer included bogobe jwa lerotse, mosutlhane and many others.

“We also offer stalls to entrepreneurs to market their products and services. We don’t charge them a fee to come and display their products,” she said.

Ntlole also said the feedback they receive from the public was positive and it is no wonder the brand expanded to showcasing local talent through outdoor and indoor events.

“Our mandate is to support local talent in any form and give them the much-needed exposure to sell their services to fellow Batswana,” she highlighted. For her part, Zenzele Hirschfeld of Zen Promotions said she stands proud as a mentor to the women of Chill & Grill.

“I want to wish them well because the road out there is going to be sloppy and tough,” she said.  Hirschfeld thanked Johnny Mokhali for asking her to help out Chill & Grill organisers in the upcoming event.

“I am very confident about this event in terms of the lineup because it is versatile and it is a combination of great music,” she highlighted.  She said everyone should support women because they are equally capable.

The early bird ticket is sold at P70, normal ticket costs P80 while the VIP is sold at P250.
