According to Apex residential sales executive, Isaac Molefinyane they have decided to service the land and sell plots to people as a solution to those who had long wanted to invest in Gaborone North.

“We are coming with a solution for water, sewage, roads and power.  We are excited that most locals are keen on investing in property,” he said.

Molefinyane said they have managed to sell about 30 plots from the launch that was held last weekend where they hosted an open day in partnership with First National Bank Botswana, Jamal Trading Company, Botswana Life, Liberty Life and Mosisedi Law Firm. “We decided to have this activation to accord investors an opportunity  to buy plots, hence the reason we have brought everyone who plays a role in real estate business including lawyers, architects, banks and insurance,” said Molefinyane.

In addition, Apex CEO, Umesh Loona urged people to invest in property, saying that it is a long-term investment, which can benefit one in the long run.

“It is a simple demand and supply principal, only five percent of land in Botswana is freehold and anyone can buy.  Land investment has always given better yield than any other investment in Botswana.  In 2006 we sold plots in Gaborone North for P90 per square metre and today they are going for P650 (per square metre), which is a 722% growth in 10 years,” he added.

Apex also has two more estates in Gaborone North available for sale, Kgosi estate 1 and 2.

In Kgosi Estate 1 they have sold about 40 plots with 10 remaining, while in Kgosi Estate 2 they have sold 20 plots with about 80 left for sale.
