Santa Green chairperson, Mugove Chiwita confirmed the suspension and said they met with the coach, after the midweek 3-1 loss to Eleven Angels.

According to Chiwita, some players in the camp were unhappy with the coach, and the dressing room was becoming unmanageable.

He said after the game the supporters also caused a revolt and baying for the coach’s ousting otherwise, threatening to boycott the matches.

“It’s these issues and a number of others that prompted us to suspend the coach.

We rely on these supporters, and we have to respect their views.

It is clear things are falling apart and we thought we should address the issues head-on, hence the decision,” he said.

Two assistant coaches, Kabelo Tshitego and Tapologo Oatametse would hold the fort in their next fixture against Tonota FC.

“We will take it from there.

The club management will meet this weekend to resolve the matter.” Sephata said there was verbal communication about the suspension adding he was appalled with the reasons given.

“I was told certain players were not happy and the supporters are unhappy,” Sephata said.
