The GTR award considers the performances of financial institutions in areas including turnaround time, reliability with service delivery and in-depth knowledge of their local market. Candidates for consideration include banks, insurers, law firms, and government bodies who also engage in cross-border trade activities.

“It is always such an honour to receive recognition from our valued stakeholders and top watchdogs in the financial industry for our hard work and standing in the market. Coupled with our healthy balance sheet, which as part of the FNB Botswana Group, is the largest in the country; we have also found success in the small and medium-sized enterprises market with a tailored product and a strong offering.

These are some of the factors which have given us a unique advantage in the market,” says head of RMB Botswana, Pauline Motswagae.” Currently, RMB Botswana has two major trade offerings, one of which is documentary trade and facilitating flows between importers and exporters, most of which are in Asia, more specifically China, and South Africa.

Other offerings include advancing finance to trade clients to support their working capital. “We pride ourselves in providing high quality and competitive trade and investment solutions for our valued clients who are some of Botswana’s market leaders and game changers. We are fortunate to be operating in an African environment that is one of the most conducive to business and we therefore persist in playing a major role in transactions that reap quality returns for our clients, but also diversify Botswana’s economic landscape,” added Motswagae.
