DJ Bobzin whose real name is Bobson Mashomeng told Showbiz that music has been his journey.  The 21-year-old DJ from Bokaa said his aim is to obtain a position in the music industry using his knowledge and talent.

“My passion towards my work has kept me a notable DJ over the past years,” he said.

DJ Bobzin added that he had gained a lot of experience at the very early stages of his music career. He said working with Mark Media has been fruitful because now he has worked with international artists in his new single.

The song Sthandwa Sam is typical house sound synonymous with South African artists.

When heard for the first time, one could think a local DJ did not do it because it offers a snapshot of the dynamic music scene in Botswana. From the onset, the track is an upbeat house track that inspires a party and jolly mood. The soulful vocals from DJ Tpz and MaEve also add different feels to the thumping club beats.

The song did not break away from the current trend because it reduces tempo only to pick it up right at the climax.  Sthandwa Sam has managed to attribute itself to the SA house sound to show that Batswana artists have undeniable music talents. Thematically, the song is about love and it has managed to stay on trend.  It is a song that one can put on repeat all day.  It is a must-have song in a weekend playlist and it can soundtrack any celebration.

The director of Mark Media, DJ KSB produced the song.

He told Showbiz that the track is an Afro House tune that is friendly with partygoers and lovers of soulful music.

“It was composed to be a touching dance tune.  The vocals were done by DJ Tpz from Benga Boys and MaEve from Gumbafire,” he said.

DJ KSB added that the two South African vocalists based in Mpumalanga are signed with Bengatainment, which is an affiliate of Mark Media.

“The song just dropped and we are already having a great response because now the stable is starting to work with well known music publishing and distributing companies,” he said.

KSB said Sthandwa Sam is ready for radio this week and a 24-hour free download link will be available online and then later taken down for sales.
