Botswana hosts Africa Internet Summit 2016

The focus of the AIS-16 will be the role and impact of the Internet in African development, under the theme “Beyond connection: Internetworking for African Development”.

The AIS is a pinnacle multi-stakeholder event combining workshops, networking platforms, conference, training and networking for the Internet industry.

The AIS addresses the current and future needs of operators and users from the ICT industry covering issues around business and technical aspects of the Internet: Policy, Content and Names, Internet Numbers, Research, Infrastructure, Capacity building, Security, goes beyond core IP engineering to integrate the real world use and impact of IP technologies, emerging technologies and particularly mobile telephony, their use, and how they can contribute to both social and economic development in Africa.

Kindly note that BOCRA has pledge to subsidise fees for local participants. The fee to attend the training is USD2,000 (BWP20,294), and once registered the locals will pay a total of USD700 (BWP7,323.40). 

The plenary conference is open to members and entrepreneurs in ICT, the business community and civil society.
