“We are happy to announce that the Zebras will be playing in a new kit against Uganda,” Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng told a press briefing on Monday.

“Earlier this year, we announced a technical sponsorship agreement with All Kasi brand and we have since been using the product for all the national teams’ matches.”

He said they will make an announcement on the availability of replicas for the supporters.

Kemoeng said the two remaining games are crucial and he promised they will pull all the stops to ensure the team wins.

“All we need to do is beat both (Uganda and Burkina Faso) then we will win the group with 12 points. We are in a situation where our future is in our hands. This will be a Grade A match and we should not leave anything to chance.”

He said in their efforts they have engaged Botswana Railways to transport at least 600 supporters from the South who wish to attend the match.

“The full schedule of the train will be announced in due course, but will be such that it arrives in time for the match and departs within reasonable time after the match,” Kemoeng said.

Meanwhile, Kemoeng announced that the Zebras friendly against Malawi scheduled for the Francistown Sports Complex has been moved from Saturday to Sunday. Kick off for the friendly match is 3pm. He encouraged the supporters to continue rallying behind the team. “We have moved the game to Sunday because there was already a pre planned event at the stadium and we felt the two events should be separated.”

“This is our final test against Uganda and we invite Batswana to come in numbers as they have always done and rally behind the team for continued success in the city of Francistown,” he said.

Tickets for both the games are on sale. For the weekend friendly tickets sell at P50 for the grandstand and P30 elsewhere and the tickets are sold at all Spar outlets around the country. For the Uganda clash tickets sell at P100 for the grand stand, P50 for the Eastern stand and P30 behind the goalposts.
