Gabaakanye executed

Gabaakanye was convicted for murder imposed by the High Court of Botswana on March 13, 2014.

Gabaakanye was convicted for the murder of a 75 year old man at Gamosusu land in Metsimotlhabe village in Kweneng District on May 25, 2010.

His appeal against conviction and sentence was dismissed by the Court of Appeal on July 30, 2015.

His previous convictions include two offences of robbery and murder. He killed a security guard using a hand gun during robbery. He was sentenced to 10 and 15 years imprisonment respectively for both offences.
