“It is an event that’s started last year at Thokwane Farm. It attracted local people as well as outsiders. It was a success and we felt this year we should make it bigger and better with best entertainers in BW,” the event owner, Lucy Ranko told Arts & Culture in an interview.

Ranko was quick to say that villagers really appreciate and want the event to grow big to the level of Gaabo Motho Music fest in Moshupa. He added that they have also engaged small business to buy stalls at the event as well as local taxi drivers to fetch people from village to the event.

“The event will also help grow the economy of the village as well as bringing families and friends together to welcome the New Year. This year we have made it more fun as people will have ample time during the day to relax on camp chairs and enjoy cocktails before the fireworks display at midnight,” he revealed.

Ranko also explained that the venue, Bedrock Garden is on the way to Moshupa from Thamaga and is visible to road passers-by.

“It’s a beautiful garden to relax and enjoy music on the lawn. The event will start at 12noon till 6am with entrance fee being P50 in advance and P70 at the gate. People should expect a big stage; lounging and good music from people such as DJ Obza (RB2) DJ Khenzo (turntable master), Verlaty, Romeo, Brich, Chilly (Duma FM), Mc Botlhole & many more.

He said they want to assure the people that there is tight security ready to make sure people are all safe including Thamaga police. Visionlink, Bush Farm Sundays, Copy shop, Engen Filling Station Thamaga, 4y liquor stores Thamaga and Makhungara Butchery power the event.
