Youth Plies Profitable Consultancy Trade

Today Tema is the director of Bubblestone Consultancy, a company he co-owns  with his younger brother.

Tema holds a Bachelor Degree in Humanities coupled with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDE) in Education, both from the University of Botswana (UB). He tried to get a job as a teacher, but the market was not sustainable. Tema found himself in the same problem as his peers, unemployed.

He felt he could not rest on his laurels and got a lot of assistance and mentoring from his elder brother.

His brother was the right person to consult as he has been in business for quite some time now.

Tema looked into expanding a business idea that was started by his younger brother a few years ago.  They looked at the requirements of running a shelf company and decided to merge their ideas.

Bubblestone offers services to people, especially youth that want to venture into business.

It helps people form their own companies or buy shelf companies, which are ready to operate.

They help with services such as company registration, shelf companies, trade licence, tax clearance, share certificate, transfer, annual returns, graphic design, procurement (PPADB) resolution letter, secretary appointment and bank account opening.

Bubblestone Consultancy located at PopIn Shopping Complex at Extension 14 in Gaborone, also has a supplies and security licence. They are accredited by the Association of Business Consultants Botswana.

Tema is optimistic that his company will help address the concerns of unemployment rife among young people.

“Graduates tend to think of getting employed rather than starting their own business,” said Tema, who initially had the same mentality. He said Bubblestone helps graduates turn knowledge acquired from university into practice. There have been challenges, but Tema sees them as opportunities.

The issue of finance to grow the business has been a challenge, but Tema says they hope to get financial assistance to employ other youth in large numbers and open branches across the country.

“We have big plans with this company and I can say it is coming up very well,” said Tema with confidence.

Apart from growing his business, Tema has ambitions to further his education with a Masters Degree. He encourages young people to use the available government funding to start their own businesses and improve their lives.

Tema, who originates from Nswazi and Makuta in the north, grew up in the city of Francistown.  He is grateful for the inspiration he got from his family.
