BOTESSA spokesperson quits

Segabo said he wanted to focus on his studies, which is the reason he decided to take a break from the position. BOTESSA president, Keorapetse Setlhare said Segabo was busy with his studies at the University of Botswana (UB).

“To us, he has not resigned from the executive committee. He has informed us that he wants to further his studies at the UB and we intend to give him the necessary support during that period. It is an urgent matter that we should attend soon,” he said.

Setlhare said the National Executive Committee (NEC) would meet soon to discuss Segabo’s matter. He said it is unfortunate that NEC members are spread across the country and it might take a bit of time for them to meet.

He said up until then, they would try to find ways for him to continue in the executive. Segabo said he decided to retreat and focus on some other matters, and hopefully, he would come back refreshed.

Segabo said he plans to take a break until December, with the association’s secretary general expected to take over the spokesperson’s duties.
