People who bought tickets also felt that they were robed, as they did not get the offers that were promised.

The package included free meat:  seswaa, pork, beef, biltong tasting as well as free wine for VIP’s. However, by noon only beef and boerwors were available.

“The ticket price was just insane, I expected to eat all kinds of meat but I was surprised that they did not cook a variety of meat as they promised,” Tebogo Molefe, one of the patrons, said. “The absence of papa didn’t even make sense, we had to buy some from the stalls.”

However, this did not stop the local talent from showing what they are made of as they gave thrilling performances throughout the day.

Kick starting the performance was the king of Kwaito kwasa, Odirile Sento, well known as Vee, as he kept the audiences on their toes for two hours playing songs from his latest albums. He also sampled some of his latest offerings from the collaboration he did with South African artists such as Khuli Chana and Trademark guys. Vee told revellers that the love song, which he worked with Trademark guys, was a dedication to his long time sweetheart, Kagiso Sento.

Next on stage was the Sekuta hit maker, Charma Gal, who was also the crowd’s favourite as the crowd couldn’t get enough of her song Tlhatswa Lesire, which she perfomed twice after they requested the song.

Dramaboi followed suit on stage as he perfomed his songs, which included his latest hit Sala le nna, which he featured his younger sister, Amantle.

Deben Natale also showed that he has not lost his touch with the stage. He gave a thrilling performance. The crowd sang as he performed Sebodu.

The favourites of the night were Matsieng.

The crowd was excited to see the group performing after a long absence. The group also perfomed dikhwaere to which the revellers danced; and their song, Tinto, proved to still be a favourite.

MMP family, who summed up the performances, kept revellers on their toes with an electrifying performance.
