KFCC is a team based in Essex, which is currently in the third division county cricket league. The 19-year-old Tshose has represented the national team on a number of occasions including the time when the team travelled to England where KFCC officials spotted him.

“The team spotted me during the time when we played against them during a warm up match in England. I happened to be the outstanding player during the match.

The England guys then called Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) officials to tell them that they have interest in me playing for them,” said an elated Tshose. The all rounder who is currently playing for Ditlhase Cricket Club, which is in the BCA National League, is scheduled to leave for England soon for a two and a half month trial. “This is a dream come true. I can guarantee you that I will impress during my trials as I am looking forward to signing a contract with the team and play in a more competitive environment,” he said.

The all rounder has always displayed an impressive game on all cricket formats, with his energy and hunger to win.

If he moves, it will be a historical development since Botswana is yet to export a player to an overseas team. The BCA will hope the move will give Botswana cricket the much needed international exposure.

Tshose made his senior national team debut in 2012 when he was called up for the team that played Tanzania. He is a former Under-19 boys’ vice captain.

BCA fixtures and publicity secretary, Sumod Damodar could not shed much on the development.

“At the moment I cannot say much, but what I can say is we are yet to sit as a board to formalise and finalise everything regarding the move,” he said.
