The traditional music giant is well known for releasing catchy and controversial songs but with this album, Shumba has decided to tone down from controversy.  In the past, his songs like Loso La Monnamogolo and Ke Thala Dinte has been associated with vulgar connotations but Shumba Ratshega has in every case cited his use of creative language as a source of hype.

In an interview with Showbiz, the Makhirikhiri hitmaker said this time the title of the album is simple and there are no vulgar implications in it.

He said with this album, his lyrics are meant to relay a message and inspire his listeners. “With this album, some songs like Botswana Kgarebe is trying to show Batswana where our country came from,” he said.

Shumba Ratshega said he has reached a milestone with his 10th album and he bowed his head to God for his talent.

“Batswana have been waiting for this album and I am already receiving calls and bookings,” he said. He indicated that one of his songs entitled Ke To E Tshela Noka E Tona is an inspirational song to people who want to give up.

“We all face challenges. This song is meant to tell people that we all face challenges, but perseverance can help overcome our biggest problems,” he highlighted.

The six-track album was composed by the artist himself and it was recorded and produced by Cabido. It has songs like Kgomo Tsa Bogadi, Ga Se Nna/Ga Ke Itse and Le A Bitswa Lebitso Laka.

The album will be re-launched in Mochudi this weekend.
