Alongside local bikers, the motor riders stole the show that attracted tens of culture fanatics from across the region dressed in rainbow-coloured attire.

The attendees were thrown into excitement by the exotic entertainment convoy.   The bikers bolstered their antics pulling off different stunts on their bikes.

Sports, track, luxury motobikers forcefully grabbed simultaneous attention throughout the event before parading on the ramp.

The act was followed by the wine and dine, traditional dishes and entertainment activities.

Performing at the show was Dr Vom with his hit single, Tsaya Thobane.  The hit sent attendees into dancing mode, as if compelled to do so before they blasted into jubilation.

Even though other members of their group failed to turn up to the event, Basotho also  gave an exotic experience of music and dance as they relayed their message through the fast and rich music. The day would not have been cultural without the signature Segaba, Setinkane and cultural attire parade as part of the proceedings.

Lobatse traditional music group, Matlotla relayed a series of performances including poems throughout the show whilst DJ SB of Yarona Fm was given the responsibility to seal the event with his best on the decks.

He did not disappoint the tens of youths in attendance.

The founder and managing organiser of the event and magistrate, Thedi Tshepo said she realised that there are many needy children in Lobatse hence the decision to step in and assist.

“I was touched at work after I had a very sensitive case involving children.  I realised that there are many needy children out there hence I stepped in to assist.

I also realised that there is nothing to depend on in Lobatse.  It is just dry.  It came automatically to me to organise such a cultural event where you try to revive culture in Lobatse and suppress rascal behaviour amongst youth,” she said.

Tshepo further said they are still experiencing challenges concerning sponsorship.

“We are still continuing to experience such problems and we plead with prospective sponsors to come on board to help this charitable event.  They will always be welcome,” Tshepo said.

Thobo Cultural Festival channels their earnings to charity.  This year the festival experienced growth. The attendance this year was far much better than that of last year’s event.
